Drawing from deep tissue & myofascial release modalities, my massage practice is therapeutic.
This means that I work with my clients to bring about positive structural change, assist in healing soft tissue injuries, relieve muscular tension from physical and emotional stress, and support the body in its own regenerative processes.
My hands, eyes, ears and body are listening deeply, with keen attention, practiced awareness of your anatomy & well honed intuition and skill in following and responding to what your body is asking for and needing.
I create a container for your own thread, your own essence, to come to the surface and be gathered and held. Perhaps a story is remembered and emerges from your lips during the session, perhaps a long held tension releases, or is even felt for the first time in a conscious way.
In the refinement of deep work, your body reveals its truth to you.
Your truth could be
something like
Oh my, I’m realizing certain patterns of my life are contributing to super tight hips and I need to work on mobility.
The truth could also be
As Sally is working this tender area, I’m suddenly noticing a deep memory, an image, longing or grief rise up to the surface –
how long has this been waiting for me to see?
All truths are welcome here.
And then there is the beautiful opportunity for alchemy, transformation, becoming.
In the meeting of the body, in delving in and harvesting what is here, in the working of muscle and fascia, pressing in, aligning, lengthening, drawing out, what is changing in you?
How are you different as you slip off the table?
Michael has never been more pain free!
My massage with Sally was absolutely amazing.
To classify it as just a massage doesn't really do it justice, it was a perfect combination of relaxation and therapeutic bodywork.
Before we started, Sally took the time to discuss and understand my pain points and what I was looking for during the session. Doing CrossFit 5-6 days a week, my body is pretty beat up and after one session with Sally, I've realized how important regular bodywork like this is for recovery.
While on the table, I found myself able to let my mind go and completely relax; it was as much a mental relief as it was physical. While the entire session was very relaxing, Sally could still work out some of my most pain-stricken areas. Knots were released in my legs and shoulders and I had most recently been experiencing tendonitis-type pain in my forearms/elbow; that pain was nearly unnoticeable afterward.
It was the most in tune I've felt with a masseuse and the most pain-free I have ever been after a massage. I can't recommend Sally enough and will definitely be seeing her again!
